Self-led launch of paddleboards, kayaks and canoes at Sibson Lake and on the River Nene, available seasonally with safety provided on the lake.

Activity details

Experience crafting your own paddling adventure on paddleboards, canoes and kayaks at Sibson Lake and along the River Nene. Explore scenic waterways, improve paddling skills and connect with nature in a peaceful setting. Inflatable paddleboards are allowed alongside plastic kayaks and canoes; inflatable kayaks, canoes or dinghies are not permitted. Safety cover is provided on Sibson Lake only, and participants must follow site rules and insurance requirements.

What's included

- Register at reception
- Present your British Canoeing Membership (Paddle UK) number for insurance
- Wear a buoyancy aid on Sibson Lake and the River Nene
- Buoyancy aids and wetsuits available to hire on the day
- Safety is provided on Sibson Lake
- Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult
- Ages 8 and up can paddle independently
- Ages 5 and up can go out on a double kayak or canoe with an adult
- All craft must be fit for purpose
- No dogs are allowed on any craft
